T-BIRD GANG : “It’s Show Time!” (CD 2008 sur Snowflake records). 2ème CD de ce groupe Finlandais emmené par le chanteur Pete Boy, toujours très inspiré par le son, la musique , le vocal de Gene VINCENT. Il n’y a aucune reprise de titres des Blue Caps et pourtant tout fait penser au rock’n’roll de Gene Vincent. C’est totalement inspiré par la magie des années 50. Mes titres préférés : « I Smell a Rat » , « T-Bird Gang », « Keep the Beat » , « You did it » , « Joe’s Hideway » , « Singin’A Song » , « You’ll be Blue » , « Chained », “She’s my girl”.

JOHN LINDBERG TRIO : Cd " Hell of A Ride " ( 2012 Enviken records) . This is the penultimate CD of this Swedish trio, very rock / blues. A great CD of 12 tracks including 10 personal compositions of the group! My favorite : " Honey Hush ," " A Kiss like this " , " Do not Bug me Baby " the great "Hearts on Fire ", " Muddy Water " and " Ready Now" .

CD « Rock that Swing Festival »(CD 2014 sur Part records). Le Rock that Swing Festival de Munich existe depuis déjà 9 ans ; il est consacré à la danse et à la musique, du swing au rock’n’roll, des années 20 aux années 50. Et c’est le 1er Cd à présenter le contenu musical de ce festival. Ce CD sur Part records propose un résumé de l’affiche 2014 avec notamment le Bill Haley’s New Comets Orchestra , le groupe Italien Jumpin’Up, le pianiste de boogie woogie autrichien Richie Loidl, le groupe Croate Billie & the Kids ou les Allemands de Chris Aron & the Croakers.

Rock That Swing Festival in Munich has existed for 9 years ; it is dedicated to the dance and music , from swing to rock and roll , from 20s to 50. And it is the first CD to introduce the musical program of this festival. This CD on Part records offers a summary of the program 2014  with especially Bill Haley's Comets New Orchestra, Jumpin'up(Italian group), the  Austrian boogie woogie pianist Richie Loidl, the Croatian group Billie & the Kids or Chris Aron & the Croakers (German group) .

Encore une fois un excellent artiste Australien!  Son CD est très country rock/honky-tonk. 14 titres , tous composés par Peter BAYLOR. Parmi mes préférés : « If thats Not Wrong,it Must be Right » , « Tarcutta », « Two Hearts » , « My Baby was Born to Rock », « Don’t Mind me When I Cry »  et “I’m Going to Move to the Country”.

THE BAYLOR BROTHERS : "Songs From Down the Line" ( 2011 self-produced CD ) . OO-BOP SH’BAM : CD « Honkin’& Stompin’ live at the Famous 100 Club » ( 2008 auto-produit). C’est une grande découverte musicale :  double CD  live du groupe anglais OO-BOP SH’ BAM , avec au chant Jackson SLOAN. C’est de la musique pour les danseurs et encore une fois l’ambiance en public décuple l’énergie de cet enregistrement !! C’est du jump/rock ou du blues shouté. Les musiciens sont tous excellents et le pianiste ( James LUNN) nous gratifie içi de quelques très grands solos de boogie woogie/rock. 29 titres  sur ces 2 CD, uniquement des reprises de grands classiques comme : « Hound Dog » , « Shake Rattle & Roll » , « Flip,Flop & Fly »  ou  «Lawdy Miss Clawdy » qui ressemble au climat musical de Fats Domino. C’est un disque d’une qualité musicale exceptionnelle qu’on va déguster ensemble sur plusieurs mois.

The musicians are all excellent and the pianist (James LUNN ) offers us here a few very large solo boogie woogie /rock. 29 tracks on 2 CDs, only cover of great classics like " Hound Dog ", " Shake Rattle & Roll ," " Flip, Flop & Fly " or "Lawdy Miss Clawdy " that looks like the musical climate of Fats Domino. It is a record of exceptional musical quality that will be enjoyed together over several months.

STOMPY JONES : « That’s Allright » ( CD 2007 sur Harp records). 6 musiciens composent ce superbe groupe Américain de rock/blues shouté. Musicalement  c’est un peu la rencontre de la trompette de Louis Prima et du saxophone de Louis Jordan !!  Sur ce CD 14 reprises de titres peu connus joués par des musiciens exceptionnels . Parmi mes préférés : « Blowin’ to California » , « Born to Love Her » , « That’s Allright » , « Highway 99 » , «  Handclappin’ ». Superbe!

Stompy Jones : " That 's Allright " ( CD 2007 on Harp records). 6 musicians make up this great American group rock / blues shouté . Musically it's a little the meeting with the trumpet of Louis Prima and Louis Jordan saxophone ! On this CD, 14 covers little known played by exceptional musicians. Among my favorites: " Blowin 'to California ", " Born to Love Her ," " That 's Allright ", " Highway 99 ", " Handclappin .'" Superb !

STOMPY JONES : “Sock it to Me” ( CD 2012 sur Harp records). Le 2ème opus de ce groupe Américain est beaucoup plus rythm’n’blues/jazzy que le précédent.  14 titres sur ce disque et seulement 2 reprises : on retrouve le super vocal de Chris Binnings , mais l’ambiance est cette fois-ci beaucoup plus feutrée. Mes préférés : « New Direction » , le superbe «Set Me Free » qui sonne comme du Fats Domino et « Calling it Off ».

Stompy Jones : " Sock it to Me" ( CD 2012 on Harp records) . The second opus of this American group is much rythm'n'blues / jazzy than the previous album. 14 tracks on this disc and only 2 covers.  You get back the great voice of Chris Binnings , but the atmosphere is  much more cozy. My favorite : " New Direction ", the super " Set Me Free " which sounds like Fats Domino and "Calling it Off ."

On retrouve ce trio Suédois (qu’on a déjà écouté en décembre dernier avec un CD de titres de Noel). 13 titres sur cet album tous composés par John Lindberg (guitare et chant ) ou par Martin Engstrom(basse et chant). La musique de ce trio est rythmée et faite pour la danse. Mes préférés : « Don’t Fade Away », « Cruel Summer Night », « Why don’t you Dance » , « « Runaway Train » , « A Young Girls Heart”, “It takes Time”  et l’excellent instrumental “Independence day”.

You get back this Swedish trio (which has already heard last December with a CD of Christmas songs) . 13 tracks on this album all composed by John Lindberg (guitar and vocals) and Martin Engstrom (bass and vocals ) . The music of this trio is rythmic and made to dance. My favorite : " Don’t Fade Away ," " Cruel Summer Night ," " Why don’t you Dance ", " " Runaway Train "," A Young Girls Heart "," It takes time " and the excellent instrumental "Independence day " .

KARIN WRIGHT : CD « Too Rock’n’Roll for Country , Too Country for Rock’n’Roll » ( 2011 sur Indian Song records ) : ce titre se réfère  à la remarque que certaines radios avaient fait à Elvis à ses débuts …; en fait le CD de Karin Wright est surtout country/honky-tonk-blues. Parmi mes titres préférés : “Little drop of love”, “Long lost highway”, «Land in Sight » , « Lucky Once » , « Ingredients of Love » , «Ask All of the Above » , « Room for Me » et « Invisible ».

KARIN WRIGHT : CD "Too Rock'n'Roll for Country , Too Country for Rock'n'Roll" (2011 Indian Song Records): This title refers to the observation that some radios had Elvis at the beginning ... ; in fact the CD of Karin Wright is especially country / honky -tonk blues . Among my favorite songs : “Litlle drop of love”, “Long lost highway”, " Land in Sight ," " Lucky Once ," " Ingredients of Love ," " Ask All of the Above ", " Room for Me " and " Invisible ".

Retour dans l’émission  “Memphis Tennessee” de ce trio américain emmené par Jim Rotramel (guitare et chant) de plus en plus sauvage et proche du punk rock. Mes titres préférés : « Monster Truck Hangover »(instumental surf), « Rock’n’roll band » et « Boom Land ».

KUSTOM MADE ROCK’N’ROLL : Cd compilation 2005 sur Thousand records. Cette compilation de groupes japonais (encore une fois fournie par le groupe the Big Chief)  donne une bonne image de groupes japonais inconnus en Europe . Mes préférés : Big Chief( avec Rock Crazy Mama), the Hot Shots ( Beetle Bug) , the Shakin’ Rockets (All Heat Goes Up), Tiger Lilly (avec Black Cadillac) , the Lonesome Tears (Hold On to my BSA) , the Pepper Hot Boys (Playboy).

P 51 AIRPLANES : « Personal Addictions » ( CD 2013 Part records). Originaires du Nord de l’Italie et de la scène blues , Mauro TOGNIN (chant et guitare) et Massimiliano VIDALI (chant et piano) ont fondé en 2002 ce quartet  de rock classique et de rythm’n’blues. 16 titres sur ce CD dont quelques reprises magistrales de classiques du rock avec de temps en temps l’apparition au chant de Miss Lola Terry venue soutenir le groupe et sur le titre « Cry Baby » l’intervention d’Antonella et Fargo en tant que musiciens invités ( du groupe italien « Wheels Fargo and the Nightingale »). Parmi mes préférés : « Salt Flats » , 2 belles reprises de « Pretty Girl » et « Nervous Breakdown » ( de Cochran) , « Bye Bye Love » (Everly Brothers), »Trying to get to you » , « Crazy Arms » où « Where the Rio de Rosa Flows »….

P 51 AIRPLANES . "Personal Addictions " (CD 2013 Part records) Originally from Northern Italy and blues scene, Mauro TOGNIN (vocals and guitar) and Massimiliano VIDALI (vocals and piano ) founded in 2002, this quartet classic rock and rythm'n'blues . 16 tracks on this CD including some masterful covers of rock classics from time to time with the appearance of the singer Miss Lola Terry came to support the group and on the title " Cry Baby" and the intervention of  Antonella and Fargo as guest musicians from the Italian group "Wheels Fargo and the Nightingale"). Among my favorites: " Salt Flats" , 2 beautiful covers of "Pretty Girl" and " Nervous Breakdown " ( Cochran ), " Bye Bye Love " ( Everly Brothers) , " Trying to get to you ," " Crazy Arms " or " Where the Rio de Rosa Flows " ....

The HICKORY CATS : « At the Smoker’s Club » (CD auto-produit 2011). Encore une fois un groupe allemand composé de 6 musiciens exceptionnels. La prise de son en public est bonne et l’ambiance musicale est là : c’est une réussite totale. 12 titres et que des reprises de grande qualité comme leur version du superbe slow-rock « Don’t Ever let me Go » !  Parmi mes préférés : « Moonlight Kiss » , « Shake Rattle & Roll » , « Big River » , « Teenager in Love » , « Choo Choo Boogie » , « Lucille » ou “I Don’t Care if the Sun don’t Shine”.

The sound is good in live and the musical atmosphere is there: it is a total success. 12 tracks and covers of high quality as their version of the super slow- rock " Don’t Ever Let Me Go "! Among my favorites: " Moonlight Kiss ", " Shake Rattle & Roll ," " Big River ," " Teenager in Love ," " Choo Choo Boogie ", " Lucille " and "I Don’t Care if the Sun don’t Shine " .

Jennifer WEATHERLY : CD “In the Name of Love” ( 1997 sur JK records distribué par Cowboy Kurt en Suisse). C’est vraiment un album superbe avec des grands titres très dansants. Mes préférés : « Boogie Till the cows Come Home » , « Lonesome Train » , « When I Sing for Him” , “No one has to Tell you”  et “Ain’t Through Lovin’ you yet”

Jennifer WEATHERLY : CD " In the Name of Love" ( 1997 JK records distributed by Cowboy Kurt in Switzerland). It really is a great album with great songs very danceable . My favorite " Boogie Till the cows Come Home ," " Lonesome Train ," " When I Sing for Him ", " No One Has To Tell You" and "Ain’t Through Lovin 'you yet"

 

MISSISSIPPI QUEEN : « Rockabilly Heaven Bound »( sur Rhythm Bomb records) : 14 titres très honky tonk /rockabilly dont 10 composés par Karlo Starcevic chanteur et guitariste de ce trio Croate. Parmi mes préférés : »Rockabilly Heaven Bound » , « 100 000 Miles » , »Bop a Loo » , « Liquor » , « You Gonna Miss Her »  et 2 belles reprises de « One More Time » et « I’m Through . Un super Cd qui a la saveur du rockabilly authentique des années 50.

 MISSISSIPPI QUEEN "Rockabilly Heaven Bound" (on Rhythm Bomb Records) 14 tracks very honky tonk / rockabilly which 10 composed by Karlo Starcevic singer and guitarist of this Croate trio. Among my favorite: "Rockabilly Heaven Bound", "100,000 Miles ", " Bop a Loo "," Liquor "," You Gonna Miss Her "and 2 beautiful covers of "One More Time" and "I'm Through”. A great CD which has the flavor of authentic  50s rockabilly.

 

Sur ROLLIN’ RECORDS: the SIROCCO Brothers avec “Devil Bones” trés honky tonk blues  et le “Davy Jones Locker”.

Tom LAVELLE and the Southern sound avec  une surprenante version du classique des Doors : ”LA Woman » et un excellent boogie rock à la Jerry Lee Lewis « Fly-Rite Baby ».

Adam BURNEY : « Train to Bopville » ( instrumental rock blues)

On ROLLIN 'RECORDS: the SIROCCO Brothers with "Devil Bones" honky tonk very blues and "Davy Jones Locker".

Tom Lavelle and the Southern sound with amazing version of the classic Doors "LA Woman" and an excellent boogie looks like Jerry Lee Lewis "Fly-Rite Baby."

Parmi mes préférés : « Ride Daddy Ride », « I Want my Fanny Brown » , This Cat’s on a Hot Tin Roof” , « Blood Shot Eyes”  et le classique de Louis Prima : “Buona Sera/Oh Marie”. Un super CD et une découverte Memphis Tennessee.

The DELLTONES : CD “the Big Four O” ( 1998 sur Starseed records). Ce double CD est une belle compilation de la musique de ce groupe de Doo-Wop Australien, qui existe depuis les années 60 : on y retrouve toutes les composantes des groupes vocaux des années 50 , toutes les harmonies vocales des voix du ténor au baryton. Parmi mes  titres préférés : « Get A Job » , « Since I don’t Have You » , « Twistin’ the Night Away » , le superbe “Cherry” et 3 medley exceptionnels  et très dansants . Un CD de grande qualité et une découverte Memphis Tennessee.

This double CD is a beautiful compilation of music of this Australian Doo- Wop group, who existed since the 60’s : there are all the composants of vocal groups of the 50s, all the vocal harmonies from tenor to baritone. Among my favorite songs : " Get A Job ", " Since I do not Have You", "Twistin ' the Night Away " , the beautiful "Cherry " and 3 exceptional medley and very danceable . A CD of high quality and a discovery of Memphis Tennessee.

 

FANNY MAE and the DYNAMITE BELIEVERS : “Live Love, Give Love”  (CD 2013 sur Enviken records). La chanteuse Fanny Wedmark et ses 3 musiciens forment un groupe au look et à la musique difficilement classable ; d’ailleurs le label dit en parlant d’eux que « c’est la réponse rockabilly à la musique d’Edith Piaf !!!  13 titres sur cet album et une seule superbe reprise ( celle de « Dream Lover » de Bobby Darin). Parmi mes morceaux préférés : « Sunny Day » , « HipShakin’ » , « Create your Destiny » , « the Sign »  et “A Place in my Heart”.

The singer Fanny Wedmark and her 3 musicians form a group which the look and the music are difficult to classify  ; Moreover, the label says of them that " this is the answer to the rockabilly music of Edith Piaf !!! 13 tracks on this album and only one  superb cover (" Dream Lover " by Bobby Darin ) . Among my favorite songs : " Sunny Day ", " HipShakin ' ", "Create your Destiny ", " the Sign " and " A Place in my Heart " .

RED HOT MAX AND CATS : “Cuckoo Clock Rock” (CD 2013 sur TCY records). En 1979 un groupe de 4 jeunes mecs originaires de la banlieue de Stockholm décide de former un groupe de rockabilly. Le groupe emmené par Mats Olsson (chant et guitare) prend le nom de Red Hot Max & the Cats. En 1981 ils signent sur le label Wildcat et sortent la même année un EP et un LP : les critiques sont positives pour ce groupe de revival Suédois qui joue enfin avec une contrebasse slappée… ! Quand le groupe recrute un saxophoniste c’est pour prendre une nouvelle direction musicale, celle d’un rock/jump à la Bill Haley. C’est en 1990 que sort le remarquable album « Cuckoo Clock Rock » au son exceptionnel , ré-édité aujourd’hui par le label Suisse TCY….alors que le groupe n’existe plus maintenant…...Les musiciens sont tous excellents  avec une mention spéciale pour le saxophoniste de l’époque . C’est superbe, c’est unique et super dansant .. !!! un CD exceptionnel !!

RED HOT MAX AND CATS " Cuckoo Clock Rock" (CD 2013 on TCY records) . In 1979 a group of 4 young guys from the suburbs of Stockholm decided to form a rockabilly band . The group led by Mats Olsson (vocals and guitar) took the name of Red Hot Max & the Cats. In 1981, they signed on the Wildcat label and released the same year one EP and one LP : the reviews are positive for this Swedish revival group who finally play with a slap bass ! ... When the group was taken onboard  a sax-player,  the music take a new  direction into a more swinging beat a’la Bill Haley. In 1990, they recorded the great  album "Cuckoo Clock Rock " with the exceptional sound re-released today by the Swiss label TCY .... when the group no longer exists ...... All the musicians are excellent with a special mention for the sax-player. It's beautiful , it's unique and great dancing .. ! a great CD !

BOOZE BOMPS : CD “Live at the Pier View” (2013 sur Part records) . Le groupe Allemand Booze Bomps , emmené par la chanteuse Annie Léopardo,  nous livre ici un CD enregistré en public au Pier View café en Californie ( en Février 2012). Sur ce CD 16 titres dont 14 compositions originales du groupe interprétées avec le punch du concert live : un CD très rock et par moments aussi rock/blues. Mes préférés : « Sweet Love » , « Be Boppin’ Baby », « Le Petit Bistrot » (superbe ), le honky-tonk «I Got a Boy » et l’instrumental « Gas Buddy Sucks ».

Et ce 8ème album couronne les 20 ans de carrière de ce quartet . 14 titres sur ce CD , tous composés par ce groupe de « vétérans » qui continuent sur la lancée de leur succés planétaire. C’est du pur rock et du  honky-tonk. Mes titres préférés : « Flyin’ High & Hit the Sky » , « Wild Nights » , « Better Lonely » , “56 Days” , “Cry and Shame” , “Honey Let’s Go” , “Hot Rod Race”.

TEXABILLY ROCKETS : "20 Years ( rollin 'down the tracks) " ( CD 2013 on Part records). For twenty years Texabilly Rockets is the flagship group of the Portuguese rock scene. And the 8th album crown 20 years of career of this quartet. 14 tracks on this CD, all made by this group of "veterans" who continue their  global successful story. This is pure rock and honky -tonk. FIREBIRDS FESTIVAL COMPILATION (année 2013) Part Records. Le 2ème festival des Firebirds (du nom du groupe allemand The Firebirds présent sur cette compilation) a eu lieu du 05 au 07 Juillet 2013 en Allemagne au château de Tresben à Leipzig. Cette année les organisateurs  ont décidé de publier, pour la 1ère fois, un CD avec les 13 groupes à l’affiche : ça donne une bonne idée du climat sonore (et de la qualité ) de ce festival. On peut y retrouver aussi bien les Ballroom Kings (Italie), les Barnstompers (Hollande) ou Nico Duportal (France)que des groupes allemands comme Cherry Casino , The Round Up Boys , The Bricats , Carolina and her Rhythm Rockets , les Sunny Bottom Boys…..

Un super CD pour découvrir simplement les meilleurs groupes du moment.

The second festival Firebirds (name of  the German band The Firebirds present on this compilation) was held from 5 to 7 July 2013 in Germany Castle Tresben in Leipzig. This year the organizers have decided to publish for the first time, a CD with 13 groups showing : it gives a good idea of the sound environment (and quality ) of the festival . We can find both Ballroom Kings (Italy), the Barnstompers (Holland ) or Nico Duportal (France ) and German bands like Cherry Casino , The Round Up Boys, The Bricats, Carolina and her Rhythm Rockets, the Sunny Bottom Boys...

A great CD to simply discover the best bands of the moment.

BEN WATERS : « Boogie 4 Stu »(CD 2011 sur Eagle Rock records). C’est un CD en hommage au formidable Ian Stewart , pianiste  des  Rolling Stones et dont les bénéfices sont reversés à la fondation cardiologique anglaise .

On retrouve le boogie woogie de Ben Waters superbe pianiste, accompagné selon les titres par certains des Rolling Stones ( de Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Ron Wood, Charlie Watts et même Mick Jagger –chant et harmonica sur « Watching the River Flow » de Bob Dylan). Quelques superbes boogies  woogies  ( « Boogie woogie stomp » , « Rooming House Boogie » , « Boogie For Stu » ) et le dernier titre du CD un rock/blues live à Montreux en 1984 par Ian Stewart et son groupe Rocket 88. Un superbe moment musical !!!

We find the great boogie woogie pianist Ben Waters, accompanied on some songs by  some Rolling Stones members (Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Ron Wood, Charlie Watts and even Mick Jagger - vocals and harmonica on "Watching the River Flow" of Bob Dylan ). Some great boogie woogie (" Boogie Woogie Stomp ", " Rooming House Boogie", "Boogie For Stu") and the last track of the CD is a rock / blues live at Montreux in 1984 by Ian Stewart and his band Rocket 88. Un great musical moment !

Mr P and the CADILLACS : “Looking Back on the Tracks” (CD 2012 auto-produit). Superbe groupe belge de Doo-Wop (une des composantes de la musique des années 50 que j’adore.. !!!) . En plus c’est assez difficile de trouver des groupes vocaux de qualité. Sur ce CD des extraits des 4 précédents disques du groupe (sortis  respectivement en 2002-2003-2007 et 2011) et des reprises de grands classiques vraiment très bien faites : « Maybe Baby » , « Earth Angel » , « One Summer Night » , « The Wanderer » ou « Diana »….

Une excellente qualité musicale pour un disque qui réjouit le cœur et les oreilles ….

Mr P and the CADILLACS : "Looking Back on the Tracks" (2012 self-produced CD ). Superb Belgian group of Doo-Wop (one of component of the music of the 50s that I love .. !). In addition it is quite difficult to find voice quality groups . On this CD, some tracks from four previous records of the group (out respectively in 2002-2003-2007 and 2011) and covers of classics really well made: " Maybe Baby ," " Earth Angel ," " One Summer Night ", " The Wanderer " or " Diana " ....

Excellent musical quality for a disc that gladdens the heart and ears ...

 

MISSISSIPPI QUEEN : « Did You Say Love ? » (CD 2004 sur Rhythm Bomb ). 4 reprises sur ce CD de 16 titres trés honky tonk/rockabilly par ce  trio originaire de Croatie (emmené par Karlo STARCEVIC chant et guitare rythmique) et composé de Jurica STELMA à la basse et Ivan SEMES (guitare solo). Une ambiance musicale très « roots » et sans batterie . Mes titres préférés : « Don’t Leave Me this Way» , « Boppin’ 747 » , « Another Hurtful  Lovesong » , “Cincinatti Fireball” , “You’re my Baby” et l’excellente ballade “Dreamin’ of You” .

"(CD 2004 Rhythm Bomb ) . 4 covers on this CD of 16 tracks very honky tonk / rockabilly trio from Croatia (led by Karlo STARCEVIC vocals and rhythm guitar) and composed of Jurica STELMA on bass and Ivan SEMES (lead guitar) . A musical atmosphere " roots " and without drums. Ce chanteur anglais est comme une version  moderne de Big Joe Turner ou Wynonie Harris …!! 12 titres sur ce CD tous composés par Jackson SLOAN accompagné par  un groupe très jump/blues avec entre autres le grand saxophoniste italien Ray GELATO. Parmi  mes titres  préférés :  « Jumpin’ On the Kansas Line », « Long as I Have You” , “Saratoga Boogie” , “Love x 2”  et “Lover’s Call”. Un superbe CD et une sacrée équipe de musiciens !!!

Un groupe français composé entre autres  des frères CASAS et produit par un label français basé dans le Sud de la France , à Perpignan. 15 titres sur ce CD , dont 9 compos du groupe. Parmi mes préférés : « Number Nine Train » , « Where the Rio de Rosa Flows » , « Now she’s Gone » , ou le superbe slow-rock « Chinese Shadows in the Night ». Une musique au son trés honky-tonk/rock , joué par d’excellents musiciens .

JOHN GUSTER : « Bits and Pieces » (CD-2011 sur Blue Lake records). John Guster (de son vrai nom Juan RODRIGUEZ ) est le fondateur et le big-boss du label Suisse Blue Lake. En plus c’est un musicien qui depuis le milieu des années 90 a joué avec le trio rockabilly The Thunder Jets. Sur ce CD une dizaine de reprises de rock peu connus. Mes préférés : « Bad,Bad Boy » , « Am I Right » , Go Go V-8 Ford » , « Ain’t that a Dilly » et « You’ve Got What it Takes ».

In addition it is a musician since the mid- 90s played with rockabilly trio The Thunder Jets. On this CD a dozen of covers rock unknown. My favorite : "Bad , Bad Boy ," " Am I Right " Go Go V- 8 Ford "," Ain’t that a Dilly "and" You've Got What it Takes . "

AMY ALLEN : “Someday is Today” ( CD -2013 sur Wormswood records). C’est le 2ème album d’Amy ALLEN ; 11 titres tous composés paroles et musique  par Amy . L’ambiance musicale est très country rock, très bien servie par la belle voix d’Amy. Mes titres préférés : « Someday is Today » , « Gotta Find JT «  , « Abbey Lane »  et la superbe ballade « Clearly However » ( avec le sax ténor de Sam Levine).

AMY ALLEN : " Someday is Today" ( CD -2013 on Wormswood records). This is the 2nd album of Amy ALLEN; 11 tracks all composed lyrics and music by Amy. The music is country rock , very well served by the beautiful voice of Amy. My favorite tracks : " Someday is Today ", " Gotta Find JT " , " Abbey Lane " and the beautiful ballad " Clearly however" (with tenor sax Sam Levine ) .

WIGSVILLE SPLIFFS : «Fat 41» (CD 2011 sur Drunkabilly records ). Sur ce label Belge voici le groupe Anglais de néo-rockabilly qui s’est reformé récemment en 2008. Pour les membres du groupe c’est le Cd qu’ils auraient voulu faire voilà 25 ans !!! Mes préférés : « Gamblin’ Train » , « I Smell A Rat » , « Fat 41 » , « Salt Shaker » , « High Class Power”.
